Thank you so much for the wonderful job you did at our wedding. Everyone was impressed by your musical talent. We were so pleased that you kept playing when the registry signing went on long, you really helped the whole ceremony run smoothly and lent the day an air of sophistication! We cant thank you enough for learning “Our Song”, it made the ceremony all the more meaningful.

Solo Album Underway

Marcus Ford and Friends in Concert 19th November

On Saturday 19th November 2011 Marcus will be performing in a concert at St Andrew’s Church Bo’ness. He will be joined by a number of his musician friends with whom he has been working with over the past 20 years. The concert will be a repeat of the hugely successful event which took place last year at St Andrew’s Church. Musicians taking part include Martin Foster (sax) Roy Percy (double bass) Dru Baker (sax) Les Dalziel (keyboard) Erica Bonnar (vocals) Jennie McClure (vocals) Nick Gent (guitar) to name a few!

Marcus will be performing in an Edinburgh Festival Fringe Show at the EICC between 16th August and 21st August. The show, “A Tribute To Anita O’ Day” and will feature USA based vocalist Melanie O Reilly.

Jazz at The Yard Leith

Marcus has been enjoying a regular Sunday afternoon gig at The Yard in Leith.
Marcus said “the Yard is definitely a venue with a difference and I have been struck by the warm community feel. I do hope the folk come down and support this venture which could turn out to be one of nicest jazz gigs in Edinburgh”
This coming Sunday 29th May between 3pm and 6pm the band will comprise Andy Mitchell on bass, Marcus Ford on guitar and Dru Baker on Sax.. For anybody who has not been down to these sessions please pop down for a listen to some relaxing, swinging music between 3pm and 6pm. Great food available from 12 noon

Portsoy Boat Festival

Marcus will be playing at the Portsoy Boat Festival Fundraising Dinner, Fife Lodge Hotel, Banff on 18th March. This will be the 3rd year that he has played at the event.

Dunblane Hydro Date
